Location
This role based in our office in Dedham, MA with a minimum of 3 days per week in the office. Any work from home time will be after initial ramp up and based on manager approval.
The Position
Storm Flag is looking for a strong C++ game engineer to join our close-knit group of industry veterans in serving our professional services clients and in making the next hit online multiplayer game!
As a game engineer, you will be a key contributor for a live hit MMO game with millions of players! You will own the development and architecture of diverse systems and components related to gameplay, ui, network, graphics and social features, and others as assigned by the project's lead engineer. Other tasks may include UI development, Plugin API support and LUA scripting.
This position will focus on multiplayer game development in C++. Previous development experience with C++ is required, as is a good grasp of new features through the C++14 language revision, and fundamentals like memory management, class and template design, and C++ build systems.

Requirements
A degree in Computer Science or a related field, or professional industry experience, with a strong grasp of computer science principles.
Level dependent on experience. At least 2 years of professional software development experience or equivalent for Mid level applicants.
Have worked on at least one game developed in C++ or one major project in C++
Good collaborator. Strong communication and listening skills.
Demonstrated attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Self-directed. Capable of working independently for the good of the project.
Bonus Points For…
Experience in multiplayer games, custom game engines, network or graphics code
Experience with large codebases developed in C, C++ or C#
Experience programing in LUA
Experience with Unity or Unreal game engine tools
Passion and knowledge about online multiplayer games
Familiarity with CMake
Familiarity with the EASTL template library.
Graphics programming, GLSL, and GPU debugging.
Familiarity with C++17 and C++20 language features
